The Academy
In 2003 The Works opened the doors to the public where we offered a world class facility suitable for BMXing, skateboarding and in-lining. Over the years the skatepark has evolved and has now become The Works Skatepark Charity.
We don’t just offer skateboard, BMX and inline, we have a whole lot more!

Schools Sessions
We have an assortment of sessions available to schools and youth groups: -
- One on one sessions – Skateboard, Scooter, BMX
- Group bookings – for all sports
- Skateboarding in Schools – We come to your school
- Sports days – in the school or at the park
- Bike Ability – Learn Road Safety
- Bike Maintenance – Learn how to fix your bike
Workshops
We offer a mixture of workshops that are done at the skatepark and can be done at you school. Here is a list of what we have to offer:-
- Graffiti Workshops – If you want to be the next Banksy
- Rapping/ Beatboxing
- DJ Skills
- Media production
- Streetdance/ Breakdance
Gym Class
If you want to keep fit then we also work with professional gym instructors where we offer: -
- Kettlebell
- Ab Attack
- Circuit Training

The Works Skatepark Charity is vetted by Coaching Leeds so you know our coaching lessons are of top standard. We work closely with the NHS, Street Games and Change for Life.. All the staff are first aid trained and DBS Checked (CRB).
Our sessions are tailored around your needs, whether you’re a primary school, secondary school, youth group or just want a session, we have something for everybody. We are not your normal skatepark, we are a whole lot more.
